My Ranger is fast enough to run with a Hemi. My best friend has a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Daytona reg. cab. We were at a light on our way to a car club meet and the light turned green, the tires were spinning & screatchin. I beat him off the line, he had me from 2nd to 3rd and I started to pull ahead in 4th and I was winning until we saw the flashing red & blue ahead. Then we called it quits.

I ran 15.9 in a ext cab all stock xlt with an automatic tranny with an open diff and 3.55s and a horrible Reaction Time and California Speedway. Will be running soon with headers, intake, exhaust, and programmer, and if I have the cash, I will throw in a posi and 3.73s.

heres an idea-how about a 4.0L v-6 powerstroke diesel? If Ford pulled that one off i bet rangers while be flying off the lot left and right, then we can spank the crap out of f-250's and 2500HD diesels plus have awesome towing and off-road ability. just a thought though, wild ideas like this happen when im bored

mmmmmm, oh yes. Time for a change of pants.
Did anyone notice that those aren't Ranger fenders on either side of the 4.6? Notice the shock towers.

The Lightningbolt Ranger, with it's supercharged 5.4 sohc, ran a best of 13.88@104 it's first time at the track. They felt with a little tweeking they could get it into the 12s. I don't know if they ever made it.
