I'm at 132400. I had to change the front crank seal this past weekend though. Apparently that is a "pretty good" life for it.

Need a shop in or around Orange County, CA that could replace the broken valve, inspect the rest of the head, etc...

I would honestly consider a newer engine from a yard. These engines are so complicated that the labor and the repair will probably be more than a newer engine. Gotta love the 2 timing chains on the front and one timing chain on the back of the engine.

Replace the WHOLE motor? I already have the head off the truck. Replacing one valve, guide, spring, etc is going to cost more than a used motor? hmm

No. I didn't know you were doing the work yourself. It should come out cheaper then. Good luck with it man.

I'd take the other head off while you're at it and just replace the gaskets now instead of later. I've got 114k on the 4.0 I just bought.

59,3xx on my 04 and i have a small coolant leak somewhere but no coolant to be found under it at anytime. Sneaky suspicion that its the head gasket leaking in the valley between the heads. Any Ideas?
