'01 motor's passenger side timing chain guide went at 136,xxx mi. Replaced it with a '09 motor with 12,900mi on it... easiest motor swap ever!

1991 Ranger

185,000 second owner, A4LD replaced, motor has no blowby and uses no oil, no leaks either. I just had to replace the fan clutch, it was oem.

The above post was made by me here on 12-07-10....

Now almost a year later, and I only have about 30,125 miles on that same 2003.

A whopping 325 miles in about a year.

I don't really have to drive it much. I get to cheat...my company provides me a different vehicle to drive instead.

So yeah my 2003 is still basically showroom new!

About to hit 90,000km on my '07. It had 52,000 when I bought it which makes about 14,000km per year.

Best truck ever made!

My 93 ranger XLT Had 401,150. She's still running but i bought a new vehicle. And this young kid kept asking to buy her. Finally i gave in but i wish i wouldn't have. I still see my
old truck around town. The only work i did to the engine was replace a headgasket, and a
couple alts. The tranny had to be rebuilt but i owned it for 13 years. Regular maint. was a
must. But i was 19 when i bought her. I wasn't exactly gentle. A solid work truck she took
everything i could dishout. From 05-07 for hurricane Katerina clean-up she out lasted, out
climbed, out towed brand new chevy colorados, and newer rangers. The 4.0 is battle tested i'll be buying a new one soon. When i heard they were dis continueing them in america i freak out.
