You've got an OHV, right? I don't know of any current kits for that engine, so you would need to fab it yourself like you said or get lucky and find an old BBK (I think) kit. Ron Caster is rpcaster that I mention in my sig. He's a member of another Ranger site (not sure if I can mention it here or not) that I got to know a couple of years ago when there was no kit for the SOHC either. He was already thinking of doing something and I offered to buy his first kit and be a bit of a guinea pig for a reduced price. :) Since then, we've worked to make the kit better but his goal has always been an inexpensive, basic kit. Explorer Express has since come out with the expensive kit, over 4 grand, but it is very well made and comes with everything you need to get everything out of the M62 they use. Ron wanted to make a kit to put a M90 on a SOHC for only around $1500, you supply the M90. Then you can upgrade things as your funds allow to get more out of the M90. It worked out well for me. I put out close to $2,000 at first and since then have dumped probably another 5-7 hundred into upgrades over time. And I like messing with my vehicles, so it's a lot of fun for me.

Vortech used to make a supercharger kit for the OHV, but has since quite.....

every now and then there are intake manafolds on eBay that will allow you to put in the Thunderbird Supercoupe M90 on it that fits the OHV........

Used to be. I've also played with an ATI Procharger ( its going back in ) . I just run a pair of bottles and a Hobbs/Window switch setup now with a set of ported/polished heads and Manley rods on the bottom. My profile has most of my trucks mods.. er it did till 6 months or so ago. Most should be there besides the axle rebuild and disc brakes.

Never liked the Heat build on the M90. Detonation occured too quickly for my liking. Bottle was easier to tune.

Book says my new '07 is 207 with no mods. Makes me wonder if that is true.

Maybe, maybe not. It took the M90 to get me over 200rwhp. I would say the stock truck is closer to 170rwhp. With your upgrades I would say you have added about 10rwhp.

8sec, you're a showoff.

I had 170ish. Intake and exhaust dont, Pro-M MAF, 30# injectors, Bosch O2's and a tune I hit 215/250 at the wheels. I dunno what I have presently on/off the bottle. I have a different bottom end and the heads were milled since. I've done a few bottle pulls but the torque curve on the SOHC compared to the OHV sucks!

I've been around, just laying low and watching.. ...Yeah, I am going to make it to the race again this year. I had a good time the past 2 years going north to race. I am still kicking myself for what I done in August at the V6 race...(From www.8secsplash.net News Page:08-26-2006 - The J&P Shootout (www.jpshootout.com) in Cayuga,ON Canada was a great race. Out of the 8 other V6 cars in the class, Pro 4.0 Motorsports brought home trophies for "Lowest E/T" and "Lowest 60ft". We unfortunatly lost first round due to a red light (we did run a 12.190 on a 12.18 dial-in). We would like to thank all of our sponsors that helped make this trip possible.) Since I still have the stock computer, I still have the stock rev-limiter, I talked to Doug the other night and he is going to see what he can do about removing that. As of right now I hit the rev-limited about 30+/- feet before crossing the line(thus the low mph). Once the limiter is removed, I want to work up to a 150 shot and see what happens. I think there is a low 11.90-mid 11.80 ET with this combo but right now I am at a roadblock due to the limiter.

Want me to talk with Bob Kennedy and see if he has a FAST or Tec3 laying around cheap? I just had my Tec3 re-caled , getting ready to yank the 6 pack. Believe it or not, I though about going with an OHV setup but figured for the same money, why not add more torque :) .

I had to give up the streets as I didn't have a liecense for a while. So I played on a local ' roundy round ' and learned about drifting. I need to get back to the tree and see if I can still cut a 0.100 or better light with a stick
. My last run at Carlyle PA was a pathetic 0.120ish and a pair of reds.. was a bad day

You heard from Gerry at all? Did he ever straighten out that PA-C4 issue he had with the exploding bands?

That thing had less then 1000miles after it was rebuilt. I'm sure you know where you can get it tuned .

All you need is the rest of an EE KIt ( maybe they will sell one without the blower unit itself? ). I forgot to give you the extra pullies I have for it as well.

I'm gonna have to see if I have any pics of that thing when it was installed back in 03.. I don't think I had a camera back then!
