I have a problem with my underdrive pulley...help?

I put it on two days ago and now my A/C is freakin out. At idle, it feels like rocks are tumbling in the blower motor for the A/C system. The A/C lines are pulsating badly. Any idea how to fix this other than putting the stock pulley back on? Also, my steerng pump doesn't work as well, much harder to turn than before. These were issues I had read of before I purchased the pulley or else I wouldn't have bought it. THanks

Hum... I only have the crank underdrive on my 06 4.0L and it's perfectly fine.

You don't have a loose belt by chance do you? Does this go away when you speed the motor up?

If it's a possible belt slip.. take a bar of soap and with the engine running VERY CAREFULLY coat the groove side of the belt and see if it stops. Or buy some spary on belt dressing and it'll do the same thing. If it goes away them you know it's a belt slip.

sounds sort of weird man . if it is turning 1,800 rpms or 5,000 my power steering always feels the same . the only time it might have an effect is at idle .

the belt does seem suspect.

did you get it from underdog ? if so, graniteguy might be able to help you.

it was my fault. The belt I got was only 1.2 inches shorter than stock so the tensioner pullley was very very close to the a/c line that runs from the dryer to the pump and it wore through. Now I have no a/c and I live in the damm desert!!
