Edge Fuel Capacity?

So I have a 2002 Edge and I've looked at the manual which says I have a 19.5 gallon tank. However, I'm not quite sure I believe it. I know the fuel gauge moves alot while driving up and down hills but everytime I get right around 16 gallons it is on E. So can anyone verify that it is definitley 19.5?

i dont think theres a good way to tell with pictures for comparison since its just 2 gallons bigger. your fuel light should click on with about 3 gallons or so you got 60ish miles to get somewhere before your screwed, most people just run it on the light then see if they hold 18 gallons or what ev

your gauge could be off. Keep a 5 gallon gas can full in your bed when you drive around (secure it of course). when your truck dies, put the 5 gallons in and find the nearest gas station, then fill your truck up. Add how ever much the pump says you put in to 5 gallons, if you are that concerned.

I can go almost 30 miles with the "check gage" light on, needle on E or below and have the truck still running fine. I haven't gone much over 30 miles though.

newb.

you have the extended cab? Its 19.5 gal.

Unless you run it dry of gas and fill it up, it doesn't matter if your gage is on E or not. Its been proven the check gage light (low gas) turns on when you have 2-3.5 or so gals left in the tank.

I have an 03, its a 19.5 gal. I filled it up to 17 twice now, but that was pushing my luck. 20 miles from the nearest gas station and a wife that refuses to fill up a tank when it gets below 1/4.....
