Idle speed question

I just done the throttle cable mod and I forgot to look and see what I was idling at before. Now I idle at 1000 rpms does that sound right?

Please help a idiot

I think you put one to many zip ties on and pulled the cable too tight.

Wirelessly posted (Timberwolf)

Your just trying to get rid off \\\"slack\\\" on the cable. You pulled more than slack, you took too much. Just get rid of a zip tie or two, see if that helps. I could only fit like two small ties on my rig. BTW, there shouldn\\\'t be any change in RPM at all.

OK, I cut off 1 zip tie (only had 2 on there) and it still has a little stack in it and still idles at 1000 rpms so I guess I just got paranoid.
