dyno my 06 sport on sat

took my 06 ranger sport automatic 4.0 sohc with a tune an a K&N intake to misner motorsports in brantford ontario hear is a graph of how i made out

Thats about right with a stock truck lol. 15% loss of power from the crank to the rear wheels is normal right?

so you dont think these numbers are very good alright i was happy maybe i should go back an see if i can get better numbers once i do a couple more mods e fan one of them i thoght with a automatic you loose 25% but im not sure. Sure others will chime in thanks guys

put a sc on and mod a bunch of **** then go back and make it really breath and cams (if they make them for for the sohc idk) i bet you could see 250 with cams, headers/full exhaust, sc, bigger throttle body ect.....

its my dd if i need a good pass at the track ill take my 94 out she should be good for high 12s low 13s with traction

Oh no I wasn't saying it was bad or anything. I missed the part about you having a tune and intake, I thought you were really stock. I thought you lost more with a manual than a automatic, but I could be wrong lol

haha yup, you'd be wrong, they don't call automatics slushboxes for nothing, there's no power lost through the manual tranny's like the autos

With a 5 speed auto & 8.8 rear 20-25 parasitic loss seems about right. So you picked up some good smooth power with minimal bolt on (K&N) and tune, looks good to me. As a dd seems like a win/win (and if you want to go thrash something you've got your V8 Ranger. . . .that's exactly what I do with my '86 Ranger Supercab 351W/AOD/8.8LS w3.73).

I don't know why the heck i thought that. Manuals are always rated more powerfuls than autos, dur.

i just heard on hp tv that auto have a 25-30% loss and manuals have an 15-18% loss

my 94 has a 306 with ported trick flow heads custom cam edelbrock performer 5.0 intake 24 lbs injectors billet fuel rails under drive pulleys bbk cold air intake. Centerforce dual friction clutch headers 3:73 posi 11/65 cobra rear disc brakes 13" cobra front brakes lowered shave tail gate
