i cant remember right, but i think running fuel cleaners thru a newer vehical was actually bad for it. you could try detailing your engine so it looks pretty

About every 25k Miles I run a bottle of "techron" injection cleaner through. More than that.. or using the cheap ones is a waste IMO. (I tear down motors from time to time)

About every three years I change the brake fluid. It degrades just like every other automotive fluid. Do a complete flush at all four corners. Rears first and don't let the reservior go dry during the flush.

With that many miles you might start to entertain the idea of a slightly thicker oil. A 5w-30 ought to be good. A good indication is noise at cold startup. Put a good 1000 miles on your current 0-30 oil and commit to memory the noise when you cold start. Switch to 5w-30 and do the same thing (1000 miles). If you notice that it's quieter.. you know a thicker oil is doing good. If it's the same.. go back.

oh i know the thicker oil is good for her she usually gets 5-30 mobil1 but with winter here being -40C which is funny cause its also -40F it can get pretty damn cold here and the thinner oil sure stays like a liquid..as for knocking on start up? never not once i take care of her pretty good shes my baby and the engine will get detailed when summer comes ...i cant wait for summer and the brake fluids gettin done here when i toss in the explorer disc brakes..i use STP injector cleaner..good bad ugly? stuff in the black bottle concentrated
