leaking thermostat housing

i have a 2004 ranger lvl2 and i notice that my t-stat housing was leaking i was wondering if this is a common problem or if my housing cracked. im going to replace the o-ring and see if that fixes thanks let me no

you ever get it fixed?

This reminds me back in the day when I had my 91 F150. Dee Dee Dee Mike(me) decides to replace his thermostat when it's 15* out on his truck and took 11 hours and 3 gaskets later to do it, why? because it took me that long to figure out the housing was corroded too much to seal against the block of the engine.

Seems for a 3 year old too soon for the housing to start leaking? -Mike-

Did you ever do this. My mystery leak has led me to the thermastat housing. Looks like the intake manifold has to come off to get in there. No fun.
