Lifters

I have a 03 4.0 v6 sohc ranger and am trying to replace the lifters one or two I was able to pull out using some plyers but the others won't budge any info?!!

They all should just pull out, may have some suction holding them in place as oil drained out of head

Give them a wiggle(break the seal) and pull hard

Ok thanks when installing the new ones is there a way they should go in? Like should the hole on the lifter be faced a certain way?

No, they rotate when engine is running so as long as the pointy end is up all is well
