Something is Wrong!!!

Everytime I start my truck it revs to about 3k on it's own. After a few minute or so it'll die down and choke and then run normal. If I try to drive it it will speed up on it's own (to about 20-25mph). Today we put seafoam and throttle body cleaner on it hoping that would help. It runs better but it still has the starting problem. Any ideas on what this problem could be??

Thanks

even if it isnt bad, its not a bad thing to replace at only like $2-5

if you take it out, and shake it, you should hear something in it rattling around, thats a good thing haha

...sorry about the long delay, my computer hates me today

may not be the problem. probably wont cause it to idle like that now that i think about it, go to the shop or dealer maybe, and see of that TSB pertains to your truck..

2000 Ranger TSB listings

Since the TSB was mentioned, and to save you a trip to the dealership, here's a link.
