location of starter solenoid

location of starter solenoid

hey guys,
I'm trying to replace my starter solenoid, but I can't seem to find it... does anybody know where it is on the 4.0 powerstoke engine???

It's mounted right on the starter.

right on, thanks! btw I meant pushrod, haha. So please pardon my lack of knowledge here, but where is the starter?

Crawl underneath and look at where the transmission meets the engine and you should see it there.

UPDATE:
Kragen actually gave me the wrong part, so I was initially looking for a part that doesn't exist on my truck... awesome. I replaced the starter, everything works great now.
