so i listened to the guys on here and i went and got new plug and wires to do a tune up since my truck has been running like crap well i needed an extra half and inch so i unplugged the maf and forgot to plug it back in after i was done so i started it and it ran awesome then i was looking and i was like **** i didn't plug that back in so i did and it started running like crap again. so i unplugged it and it runs like its brand new can anyone tell me whats going on or what to do?

Try MAF cleaner? Aerosol one is best and did wonders for my Ranger after having an oiled filter.

 

any special brand or anything and i have never oiled my air fliter

 

I know but it helps, especially since you have so many miles. Just go to your local auto parts store and look. Something like this:



It's a cheap thing to try before having to do more serious repairs.

 

Mine ran a litte smoother after cleaning

 

Its either dirty or bad.

 

I'd plug it back in and then clear the computer. You should not be driving it around in open loop mode. (it'll run too rich if I'm not mistaken)
