I say keep your stock one if it's good. It's kind of like an intake or coil pack. It won't do anything if you just slap it on a stock engine.

It isn't worth the price. I have looked at alot of different MAF's for the 302, and they are really only beneficial if you have alot of other work in the motor so that the MAF is what is holding back the rest of the motor. Typically to require a larger MAF is heads, intake, exhaust, maybe a cam, so that the rest of the motor is requiring more air than the MAF can provide. The other issue is that the larger MAFs change the sensor tube that collect the air to feed the two wires on the MAF in order to 'trick' the computer into thinking the proper amount of air is going into the motor to adjust the AFR. The aftermarket companies spend alot of time trying to get this part right so that the motor doesn't run rich or lean with the new MAF but they aren't perfect. At best you might free up a few ponies at the high rpm range, but not much.
