I have a flex-a-lite S-blade and thier VSC controller. I too am not good at electrice stuff and can recommend this setup!
Thier controller handles everything, all you do is run the wires as needed. IMO it's very good because it lets your fully control the fans.. and it ramps up the speed only as needed. (like OEMs do) Only draws about 17 amps max.

yep, mine was getting way to hot.
routed it out of the radiator(no longer flows through there) then the stock cooler and then an aftermarket cooler.
temps run much cooler now, and i like it.
