Mildly Rouh Idle?
 
I've noticed that my truck has a mildly rough idle. Judging by the factory tach. it jumps and dips by about 200 rpm. Sometimes though after starting it is extremely rough, jumping up to about 1500 rpm down to 250 rpm. After I touch the throttle just a bit it smooths out though.

After doing some searching the best I can come up with is I need to clean my MAF. Or perhaps spark plugs. The previous owner had them changed at 50k(i think) The truck now has 109K on it.

Engine: 4.0SOHC
Trans: Auto 4x4
4.10 gears.
87 octane gasoline
5w30 motorcraft semi synthetic oil.

Hmm you can also use a can of throttle body/Intake Manifold cleaner.. and it did really good on my trucks idle and start up.
