Missing PCV/vacuum lines?
 

2004 Ranger XLT 4x4 Level 2 with the 4.0 Auto.

REALLY rough idle and wants to stall when shifting into gear. Found one missing and one severed line coming off that I believe to be the main PCV line. It looks like they are soft emission tubing that has been shaped, which means there must be a part number out there for it right? well I havent had any luck finding it. Before I go just slapping some pay by the foot tubing on here I just want to see if anyone can give clarification on if this would cause a rough idle, and if there is a specific part for it or just generic tubing. Also I havent been able to find the other end to where these lines lead, ive looked around the PCV a little but its pretty cramped back there to see much of anything.

Yes, would for sure cause idle issues

2004 Ranger with 4.0l SOHC has a PCV hose with 2 "elbows"
From your picture that hose runs to back of engine and then across back of engine to the drivers side valve cover, top rear another elbow and the PCV Valve
Be VERY CAREFUL removing PCV valve its a Twist lock and the valve cover gets VERY VERY Brittle, and its expensive to replace that valve cover, its "in demand",lol
