Need Answer Quick!!!!!!

How hard would it be to put a 4.0 out of an 03 Ranger in my 84 Ranger.

Need Help Quick!!! Time is priceless.

all it takes is time an money!! lots of both

I'm not to worried about the time but what am I looking at is the mounting of the motor how much is involved in swapping them out. Motor mounts, stuff like that

im sure there will be a lot of extensive fabrication, maybe even a whole front frame section, im not sure how the frames have changed since then, you may be better off with a body swap to a wrecked newer ranger.

Honestly I don't think it's ever been done. I do know that isn't not hard to get a working 5.0 into an 87 ford ranger, with working heater, ac, all power components. So I doubt it's too hard, The only problem I see is all the wiring.

It would probably be easier and cheaper to put a V8 in it.I think you can buy alot of the mounts, brackets, headers ,ETC. prefabbed for a v8 swap.

Ok I'll let it go then there was a 4.0 on ebay for 100 bucks with 25000 miles and comes with the computer. I could use a newer motor something with some more ballz.

u will need a radiator, maybe transmission, or bell housing, exhaust, u will prolly have to fab motor mounts, possibly steering shaft mods, gauges(eec-v requires mil) pats sysem wiring(which means a newer pats key and ignition switch.... I will check into more

Don't worry about it I changed my mind. Thanks though.
