OK im debating how much power loss there will be if i would put 33's on my ranger. It has 4.10 gears and 4.0sohc, soo it does have some power with the stock tires. But will i lose alot? Whats you gasmileage? Probably gets better then what i get.

factory 4.10s
33x10.50x15 BFG MTs
5inch RCD coilover lift

went on a trip Monday.....hit 20.8 MPG for trip when I filled up after trip.

I need to enter the last 2 months worth of gas receipts I have into my spreadsheet. Once I do I'll post a link up for viewing of the various milage I've received since owning the truck, to when I switched to 33s, to when I lifted, and then to present.

There won't be much of a loss at all. You will be liking the way it looks so much that you won't ever notice.

Well im thinking about putting my 33" pro comps off the explorer and on the ranger. Because the explorer is getting new wheels and tires. Only thing stopping me is that i need a lift. Im not liking bodylifts to much or a stiff non flexy suspension. So i guess i will need a 4" superlift

I went to the track all stock with 4.0 sohc and stock tires. I put on 33" tires, underdrive pulley & K&N intake and ran the same time as stock.

Stock gears too? Do you contribute that more to the K&N or the pulley?

Holy hell! I have never seen 20mpgs with my truck at all. The best I get with 33's a 4.0 5spd and 4.10s is 13.9 to 14.3. I average about 12.9 Huh sucks for me! I went through 180 bucks in gas last week driving back and forth to work.

worst I've gotten to date on any fill-up was 14.something. That was mostly city driving, and even some highway around that time was giving me only 17 mpg. Did an oil, oil filter, fuel filter, and air filter change and I've been running 18-20 mpg since. That was 2 weeks ago. :)

no need to regear with 33's and 4.10's, it's not much of a difference, if anything just get a tuner with the 33's and you will probably have an increase of power and better mpg... 35's with 4.10's sucks though.

idk maybe procomp has there own calculations but the reall calculations for the tire size comes out to this when u put the # togeather is

Result:
285/75/16 = 32.8x11.2/16

Result:
295/75/16 = 33.4x11.6/16

so thats what i was going with reall calcuilations for what the # represent

well guys we will see how it goes, i want to get some 15x8" sim lock mickey thompson with a black ring, then get my pro comps mounted to them. Install a 3" body lift for the extra clearence(if i can find one cheap enough).

The down the road im going to add some performance mods(intake, pulley, chip)

But right now i just would like to have a truck i could wheel without worrying about getting stuck, i almost got stuck today with my bald *** 245/75/16's when i was playin in the mountains near by.

I just recently bought 33x12.50x15 Dayton Timberline AT II tires and i'm going to run those on a 15x10 wheel not sure which one yet, but all this info puts my mind to rest alittle, I was worried about power loss and mpg.

I hope once I get my 3" PA bodylift that this setup will fit my stock truck.

My bad wrong forum.....This question belongs in the 3.0 forum.
