I need to change out my thermostat on my 08 ranger 4.0 liter and need some info. do i need to remove the intake manifold? are there any pictures, books on here? or is it just to remove the three or for srcews pop out the thermostat, replace with a new one and new gasket? let me know asap. Thanks in advance

 

you can do it both ways. its easier to remove the thermostat if the manifold is gone but it will come out without removing the manifold.

The manifold has reusable seal on it so no need to buy new there.
