gas mileage

whats average for yal with the 4.0 sohc automatics?
i just filled up for the 1st time since ive had the truck and got 22.5mpg. provided that is mostly highway miles 65-70mpg.
whats an average mpg for the city/highway. im not to worried about loosing 1-2mpg since its still better than 14mpg in my old truck, but ill be addin intake and headers to the truck in the next 3 months so i hope that will help also

My best ever was 98% highway and I got just under 22 MPG. I'm 4x4 though which changes things a bit. My average city is around 17 or so.

Best I have gotten in the city was 19.1. I am sure I could do a bit better if I babied it everywhere but that was just driving normal.

Best I've ever gotten was 17.1 MPG worst I got was yesterday 14.3 MPG. I typically get 15-16 MPG even when babying it.

milage

I usually only get around 15 m.p.g. but my Ranger is four wheel drive and an automatic with the 4.0 V6. I changed the air intake and added a Gibson exhaust, but it didn't seem to make much difference.I love my truck though.

i only drove mine for 2 weeks while i was on RR leave....and it was mostly to stores to buy the stuff i put on....I drove it from TN to Aztar Casino in IL. It got about 18MPG though i think. Ive only put like maybe 400 miles on the truck since it was bought back in May. the wife drives it around the neighborhood to keep everything in line

Best I've ever gotten was like 19.5ish coasting on a highway coming home from Lake Tahoe.

For a while in the city I was getting 11-12, but I cleaned my MAF and it immediately jumped to 15-16, so I'm happy.

I've managed to get 24 mpg on a long trip, with the cruise set at 75 mph and no A/C.
Usually I average about 19 - 20 mpg with a mix of city/highway.
