I posted this in another section, but thought I would try this area.

My 2005 4.0 Automatic supercab 4x4 ranger was fine earlier today and I left for work and none of the gauges work now. (Fuel, tach, speed, etc..) It does appear that the backlighting is working. When I start up I do get a momentary battery light, and airbag light, but then it goes out. Any ideas where to start? I looked at all the fuses that seemed even somewhat related with no success.

The digital odometer display is out also. All of these were working earlier today.

After checking every fuse in the truck and scratching my head for a few days I finally pulled the battery for a few hours and everything came back. I guess the main computer needed a reset???

 

might have had a bad connection to ground
