OBDII Unknown Code

My check engine light came on this afternoon, and when i got home i pulled a P1444 code. The code is not in a Haynes and what i can find on the internet say that P1444 is a "Purge Flow sensor circuit low input" but my OBDII reader say it a "Manufacturer Controlled Auxiliary Emission Controls"... What the heck does that mean ????

OBDII codes through P1000 have universal code definitions across all manufacturers. Above P1000 have manufacturer assigned definitions which can vary from one maker to the next. For that reason, the exact upper code definitions are not included in generic lists like the one in your reader.

For 95~97 Rangers, P1444 relates to the Purge Flow Sensor which is in the jumble of hoses near the carbon canister (behind the rad support on the driver side). At high mileage, the PFS may fail and/or the hoses attached to it can get cracks in them.

Ill check into that, but i replaced every hoses on the engine due to being dried out, except for the coolant hoses.

The Purge Flow Sensor has a fairly high failure rate on 95~97 Rangers. It is more likely to be the PFS than cracked hoses but I thought I'd mention them since it would have been a cheaper fix.

Well i checked the OBDII again with a snap-on reader and it told me that is was the "Purge Flow sensor circuit low input". And a another code came up as well, P0230 for a FULE PUMP PRIMARY CKT FAULT, so i turned the key and you can here the pump start to prime but after a secound it sound like its pumping air bubbles (On a full tank). So can these both be related?

Are you serious ?? Really... Why would i pay you to look something up ???? When i have two haynes manuals, Snap-on shop key, Mitchell OnDemand5, the internet, a ford service center down the road, and plenty of people in my phone that i can call to ask, would i pay to have someone look it up ???? No disrespect but use some common sense, and quit being money hungry......
