Hey guys I have a 98 4.0ohv and I have a real bad coolent leak at the vacuum actuaror before my heater core it has 4 lines going to and from the core, dose anyone have this same problem? Its so bad its rusting out my exhaust manifold, I don't want to replace it if im going to get the same problem

Any help would be appreciated

it's probably cracked. mine actually broke completely one time. other than that time, it doesn't leak.

Just changed mine. Easy to do but don't let the hoses hang or coolant will pour out. Not fun but well worth it. Not expensive either. If you change it it shouldn't happen again.

 

whats it called? the vacuum heat controller?

 

Heater control valve.
