P0456....again

CEL came on yesterday. Truck is throwing code P0456.

Had this same problem earlier this year. I took the truck back to the people who installed my BL, they tightened the clamps on the filler neck, and after a reset, the light never came on again until yesterday.

What can I do? The clamps on the neck feel pretty tight. Could I have a cracked line somewhere?

Thanks.

take the vehicle somewhere and have it smoke tested...also check the gas cap, make sure it is tight and the o-ring is in good shape...also check the evap line that comes from the frame rail to the valve on the inner fender...it likes to come unplugged during the BL

Gas cap is good. Bought a new one and light still laughed at me.

Smoke test you say? Whereabouts can I get this done at?

if you're getting a cheap autozone gas cap that could be the problem. 2 of the non locking autozone gas caps have caused the light to go on. but the locking ones do not. and i lost my stock one. hahaha

the code needs to be reset after the cap is replaced or the light will stay on...smoke test at a dealer or anywhere with a smoke machine for evap

where is this specifically? i have been battling a P0455 on my 2.5L (i know, not the same engine). is this something i should look at?

Well im still rolling with my stock cap. I bought a new locking cap from atuozone, and the light stayed on for both caps, even after a reset.

the evap line goes to the vapor management valve mounted on the drivers inner fender, has a green cap on the evap test port...the line runs out of the VMV and down the frame
