pcv valve, elbow, other 2 hoses

im missing the hoses on either side of the pcv valve elbow.. im also missing the metal hose that wraps around the pcv valve itself.. is that where the 2 hoses connect to?? any helo at all would be appreciated. ive been dealing with the rough idle issue, lean codes, struggling when accelerating for too long now and i havent had any luck anywhere at all. thanks in advance. the pictures im posting are not mine im just using them to show the missing pieces

The blue hose in the picture is not a Ford part, people cut out the elbows because they rot out and replace them with silicone hoses, like that blue one.

The tube around the PCV Valve is for coolant circulation, it heats up the PCV Valve, there are also electrically heated models, it keeps the valve from being clogged up with cold thick oil.
Heated PCV Valves are usually only used on northern vehicles but could be on any vehicle.
If you are not leaking coolant then that coolant hose package is not on your engine and someone replaced PCV valve with that one, or the 2 coolant hose are connected together, bypassing that loop

i know that blue hose isnt the factory elbow.. my main concern is the 2 hoses on either side of the elbow. im assuming the mechanic, when replacing my engine, forgot to put them back.

and i have no idea where they go.. nothing in my hanes book, nothing i can find on the computer, and well this is the second time that this forum has proved itself to be no help with the issue

If its the second time then I would suspect the questions more than the answers.

I would go to a Ford parts department and look at the 2005 4.0l Ranger hose diagrams, they change each model year.

The hose you circled in red has generic ford number of 6C661 and from a drawing at Ford parts.com it looks to have the PCV valve loop at the end.

Same site I suggest to you a few months back in your other thread: https://www.ranger-forums.com/4-0l-o...rating-148134/
