occasional 3rd gear problem

my 03 ranger 4.0 5spd every once in a while it will grind a little going into 3rd...its done it ever since ive had the truck and idk if theres something wrong or if its just a ranger thing lol

Only in 3rd? Suspect a synchro. Shift slower.
