question about bama tuning

Ok, I'm stupid to this stuff. Can someone explain to me what exactly I need from Bamachips to get a little more grunt out of the 4.0? I guess I just need a little info from those of you that have the X-Calibrator and if you like it. Any info is appreciated as I'm kind of lost here lol

I say go to JusnesModified.com and purchase the Xcalibrator2 ($399) with 3 tunes ($115) and maybe someone will chime in w/ a couple tunes they really like...

Thanks. I'm more interested in the torque end of it then a speed increase if that matters.

You get 3 tune files for 115 or you pay 50 each.

Yeah you get 3 tunes for the $400. If you want the extra grunt I would go for either a 92/93 octane or 89 octane torque tune, then get like an 87 or 89 octane economy tune for those long trips. Third tune is up to you. You can get a performance tune or a race tune. On mine I got an 89 performance, 89 torque, and a 92 octane race tune. The nice thing about the tuner is you can adjust for tire size, rear end ratio, remove speed limiter, adjust rev limit, adjust WOT air/fuel mix, adjust timing, and a whole lot more. I love mine and Bob Jusnes is a great guy that is very knowlegeable and easy to work with and if you have any problems with the tunes at all Doug Studdard who does all the tuning work has outstanding customer service. Stay away from any of the chips on the market as some of the ports on the ECM are not active and the chips wont work and once you get the chip and install it, its yours.

These guys pretty much have it nailed!

The tuner is $399 and when you buy it new, the tunes are included (what good is the hardware without the tunes )

And its 100% worth it on the 4.0.....

Im still on the 93 program, about to go back down to the 89 for awhile....If i trade my truck in or sell it the tuner probably will be sold to someone on here
