Quick Plug for Superchips Tuner

well after runnin the superchips tuner for a few months i feel like i should support this product, i used to run an X3 with a custom tune from a SCT tuner down in VA but sold it than recently got a sweet deal on this tuner from craigslist, plugged it in and off we went, has a towing, performance and mpg tune, i have ran the performace tune for awhile and its great, definetly more throttle response and just a much stronger feel, fully adjustable tranny shift points but i left it in the superchips recommended setting, can adjust tire size and clear codes as well, on the performance setting driving it normally occasionally getting into it i averaged 16 mpg all the time no matter what i was doing, recently i have been running the mpg tune and this tune is very very smooth, stays in the higest gear as much as possible when cruising, shifts much faster but still gives you passing power when needed, truck just cruises very well with this tune and idk how much changing my fuel filter helped but ive been driving pretty conservative lately and been getting 18mpg, havent had the towing tune loaded in yet as i havent towed lately, will more than likely use that in the next month or two when i drag the boat up to va, not looking forward to that gas bill tuner or not , anyway i just wanted to let people know about this tuner as not alot of people seem to go for it, i would buy it again any day, luckily if i trade to another ford this should work, btw my truck is a 4.0 Auto tranny, 4.10 gears on 35;s

spend away

You said you used to have the X3, how would you compare the superchips? I'm looking to get a tuner and wonder if one is better than the other.

Yes it was. Got rid of my ranger sold it to amember on here bu he couldn't use it on his truck for some reason got it back and just plugged it up to my 350. Made a huge difference with the transmission shifting. Quite a bit more top end and mid range power. Im impressed again. Still can't figure out why it wouldn't work on his truck??

Wirelessly posted (Timberwolf)

Superchips is a reputable performance tuner without a doubt. Around these parts, all the offroad shops sell them over every other tuner.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to leave this, but I'm looking for some advice. I have an Xcal2 that I used with an 07 Ranger. I divorced the tuner by putting it all back to stock before I sold it. I didn't think I was ever going to have a Ranger again so I deleted the tunes I got from Bama. I now have an 09 Ranger with the motor and trans (auto). I would like to use this tuner again with the newer truck. This xcal is so old that I can't find the software to use on a PC to deal with it. So I have two questions. Where can I get an older version of live load or whatever it was called? Who might be a good choice to write tunes for this. It has headers, no cats and no EGR so I could use tunes that are meant for this as I'm looking for something better than the stock programming. I suspect it's a bit on the lean side as it is.
