need help

So my truck has had a varying misfire, it wasnt bad but i could feel a small type bump while driving. Dude I got it from did tell me in advance it would need a coil as to his inability to afford one. He put new plugs and wires in shortly before I got the truck ( 2 weeks). Now I have replaced the coil and it was cool for about 1 hour, back to same old thing.

My question is, could the new plug/plugs fouled from the misfire of the old coil before I replaced it. I had to drive it for a couple days before I could change the coil..

I am kinda at a loss here. Any help would be awesome..

Thanks in advance

Hum... sometimes a loose plug will do what you describe. Might want to check to see if they are all tight. (12ft lbs)

ok so i pulled the plugs, not only were they ****, they were not gapped, so i put in new ones with the proper gapp, and now the truck is idling perfect, but when i drive it hard it feels like abooged down 2 cycle dirt bike, my mechanic said i would need to drive it for 20 - 30 minutes to burn off all the build up, the cel light popped on , which he said would go off once the **** burned off .. ???

Hope this resolves this..
