Seafoam Procedure questions
 

Hey guys and gals, I've been searching all the forums about Seafoam, and while I've found a few random "do this" "do that" posts about it, I'm wondering if anyone knows of an actual write up on how to do a good Seafoam treatment on the 4.0. I just replaced my plugs and wires yesterday 9/20, and I'm about 3K into my last oil change, so I'd like to do that as well post foaming, along with the transmission filter/fluid, and fuel filter. My engine has 136500 miles on it. the last owner was kind of a douche with the upkeep of the engine. I'm guessing I'll be getting arrested for extreme pollution if I do a thorough foam to my truck.

Personal opinion.
I use Seafoam in the fuel tank once a year, I do this because I use Regular gas that doesn't have additives.

I wouldn't use Seafoam in the intake, because my spark plugs look fine, i.e. no carbon build up, and I have no "pinging" on regular gas, so no carbon build up.

I wouldn't use it in the oil because my oil filler and dipstick look fine, i.e. no sludge.

There are videos of people doing it on YouTube that you can watch. It's much easier to refer to a video than written instructions. I've only Seafomed the intake once, but I'd say there was a noticeable difference for a little while in how the engine ran. Seemed much smoother. I still dump a can in with a tank of gas every now and then too.

You can put 1/3 on the brake booster vacuum.... But dont fill it too fast otherwise its possible that you could hydrolock your engine, make sure your engine doesnt stall.
