engine farting?

Ok well i got the check engine light running too lean in both banks, 2001 ranger edge 4.0 4x4. I noticed tonite after i got home from work roughly 20 mile drive i turned the truck off and i heard a "farting noise" Could that be just a vaccum leak i did notice a little air coming out of the throttle body spacer the new gasket is on the way. Any ideas? Thanks all!

not to long ago i had the "both banks, too lean" and it sucked. there was a cut in the elbow piece or w/e thats part of the intake manifold. blew alot of money just finding the leak
