yeah its easy, i dont jack mine up either, just pull it up on the carport and get to work, takes about ten minutes...i run the Motorcraft Sythetic Blend 5w-30 in mine (it says to run Mootcraft 5w-30 in my manual)...so ithink i got the right stuff, it didnt specify which one though...
i get the Motorcraft that all advance and walmarts carry, is this fine...

I USED to be a synthetic oil fan, but after much research, I have determined that there is no advantage. In fact, even if the synthetic does last longer than regular, the filters should still be replaced at around 4000 miles, so why not change the oil at the same time?
Now I use whatever 5W-30 is cheapest at Autozone or Pep Boys...

to the OP, yeah verything goes smooth till its time to get the oil filter off, then oil goes everywhere if ur not careful...

OHH!! That oil catcher bracket on the frame, believe it's the rear lower a-arm bushing bracket. I think. Still have yet to look at the truck to confirm. lol.
I've always used K&N oil filters....they've got like a 7/8" nut on the bottom. Makes very easy use of loosening the filter. HP-2010 is the part number.
