Soundclips: Magnaflow custom catback with 3" tips

*Need quicktime to play*

Pick which clip u want to hear, i have a choice of three. i will be getting more/better ones but i had these on my computer so i uploaded them. hopefully this will sway more people to a good sounding and great flowing exhaust.

Please note the exhaust tone is deeper in person then the recording.

Nice, I wish i knew how much deeper it was, because is doesn't sound deep enough for my taste in the video. It did however sound cool when you had the camera out the back window......

its hard to explain, the microphone in the camera is old and im pretty sure its bad. in person it sounds like a 4.6 2V at idle.

My magnaflow exhaust has a nice deep sound to it, especially right off of idle. I couldn't ask for a better sounding exhaust.

Nice, I listened to the Flowmaster 40 in another thread and I think that I'm going to go with Magnaflow now!

ya 98green, those clips really dont do it justice. i wanna add some bigger and longer tips (3 1/2" x 18") but they wont fit w/o modifing the exhaust.

sounds kinda like my borla cept not as deep or loud, however I have a short turbo muffler with straight through design so it really doesnt "quiet" it down at all, its basically a straight through pipe.

Remember that D has a "worked" motor, it isn't stock by any means and that DOES make all the difference in the world.....

yeah my flowmaster 40 series when warmed up sounds like a mustang at idle then when you give it gas it doesnt crackle like most do and it sounds like a SUPER v-6 lol. and if i ever decide to get another muffler, i think i might go with the magnaflow yours sounds nice, and did you notice any performance gains?

it'll roast the 285/75/16s (33x11.50x16) all day long and even with the bigger tires it still manages 16-18 mpg (with a 4.0/auto/4x4/4:10s)...

with just the ****ty goodyears...it would go sideways a little even from a roll under 25 when ya nailed it.

LOL I had alot of problems with my 4.10s when I had my 225s, after going 275 I still had a few tire slippage problems, I hope when I get 31's I dont eat them up too....

Yeah man, those three clips sound great - you definetly should post more because you have about the only good Magnaflow clips available.

One question, that clip with the camera out the back window - how much throttle was that - WOT, or midway throttle?

the one out the window when it shifted 1-2-3 was 3/4 throttle (floored spins the tires)...ill try to get some better ones when the weather gets nicer.

i been thinking about taking that air silencer out but its not my truck so we'll see.

I read another forum where it seemed like a bunch of people didn't like flowmasters... instead they all seem to go towards Gibson. What do you guys think of Gibsons?

Just get an intake, looks and sounds much better than taking the silencer out.

lmfao. good point tho. Im about to run my intake into the cowl. I have the silencer out in mine, and still stock exhaust, I love the sound of the intake at full throttle, if only I could get my truck to sound the same.
