94 RANGER 4.0 4X2

Went to start my truck up it wanted to at first then stopped.Tried to turn the key over again to start no starter noise, all I heard was this odd click sound near the fender area like a relay sound.Any suggestions on what this could be.I checked the ground looked good, tried to jump it wouldn’t jump.Any suggestions be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the forum

"looked good"?

You need to pull off the battery cables and clean them

If jumping didn't help then most likely the starter motor needs to be replaced

It could be a bad battery cable, but more likely to be starter motor

Thank you for your input on this matter.Ill give this a shot when I can get to a parts store during this difficult time in America we’re having.Very unfortunate timing ,thanks again.Ill reply with a update...82,000 miles on this 94 Ranger 4x2 so it’s probably due for a change along with the battery(11/14).Just odd was running great no issues then bam.
