rough idle and acceleration questions

I have recently been having a slight hesitation or "rumble" while idling. Almost like a very slight version of what a stalling manual does(mine is automatic). Tonight when i was coming home it seemed to start running rough when accelerating. Had to push the gas harder than normal I think to get moving faster. Any ideas about what could cause this. Hopefully a sensor issue or something like that.

did they add the 'additive' to your tranny? the 04s came off the line with the wrong transmission fluid, fords fix 'add a lil can of crap to make it all better'

in reality this can of crap just caused more problems. (stralled in reverse, slipped out of gear while accelerating, hesitation ) dealer finally fixed it with a tranny flush and replacement of filter and fluid.

rough idle

I dont know about the tranny additive and all. I bought my truck used with 18000 miles on it so that all came before my time.

I don't know about the tranny thing.. but if a motor stumbles under load it's generally an ignition problem. Plugs, wires, or coil pack thing.

If it were air or fuel related.. you'll usually feel the motor be smooth.. just loose power.
