Tranmission dipstick length( 4L2Z7A020FA )

I just replaced my 5R55E tranmission on my 04 ranger xlt 4.0 4x4 and somewhere along the way my dipstick got lost. I called ford and its on national back order, and didn't give any specs in terms of length so I can just get one from whatever parts store. Hopefully yall will have more insight.

I just measured mine, 2009 Ranger with the 5R55E. Trans dipstick blade is exactly 30 1/2 inches in length. My Ranger is a 2 wheel drive with a 4 cyl 2.3 engine, but that shouldn't matter unless the tube is different in length.

And, welcome to the forum.

I've an '05.
My entire dipstick blade is 34 3/4 inches (883mm) in length and features a rolled back tip forming an incompletely closed loop at the very end.
The hatched zone runs from 32 1/2" (825mm) to 33 3/8" (848mm).
There are two pinholes farther down the blade which I believe delineate the COLD zone.
This range runs 33 1/2" (850mm) to 34 3/8" (873mm).

Happy Fabrication!
