iam by no means a mechanic ..........but im having a problem ........ive changed the wires plugs pcv gas filter air filter and cleaned the air sensor ............but my problem persists lugging and a tack tack tack noise and the engine is revving up and down and stalling .......upon start up and a noticeable loss of power once moving ...............any suggwstions ?

 

probably your lifters... what do you have

 

sorrry forget to mention its a 93 ranger 6cyl 4 litre 4by4 manual.......5 up and reverse ...............problem seems to have started after hauling a load around......

 

make sure all the wires are on tight... kinda sounds like a misfire or maybe a manifold gasket
