Welcome to the site Tom! Sounds like you have some solid experience with our motors. Looking forward to seeing what knowledge you have to share with us.

I'm starting my 4.0 sohc engine build plans now with an eaton m90 and Gibson headers.

I guess I would've thought you were already on here.

Welcome! Back when I had my 3.0L I always wanted to do a set of roller rockers.

Now with my SOHC, I'll have to get some goodies to turn it up.

Welcome Tom, looking forward to your input!

Mike what finish are you planning on getting for the headers? I know they offer 2 or 3 different ones including the SS and the nickel plated.

I have always pondered building my 4.0 SOHC, but there has never been strong support for it.

I'm anxious to see your offerings.

Very cool! I'm not planning to go that wild yet. Only looking for 50-60 more hp just to help the get up and go on my heavy truck. But it would be fun to be able to build up a block from scratch with built internals and a m112

I just had a chance to browse through your parts. I am really considering this, anyone can motor swap and be done with it.

Not a whole lot of people build a stock 4.0L SOHC using stuff like this.

Looks like I have some budgeting to do.

Would be interesting too find out how everything is....

I've seen that website for years, but never looked into it more.

It would be cool to have a built up 4.0 but for much cheaper just go v8. I have all the bolt-ons basically and found that to be not to bad.

Have you guys had any trial runs with the 1:8:1 rocker arms for the 4.0? I am really interested in them but would like some more details/specs.

I have a 4.0L SOHC. thought about buying another, similar engine to rebuild and then replace the cuurent one in my truck. Would love to get some ideas on how to improve performance for it.

Pretty new to vehicle mechanics. Does the 1:8:1 Roller Rockers work on the 4.0 SOHC? is there any significant value in doing so?

The 1:8:1 rockers wouldn't work on a SOHC because it is an OHC engine and is designed completely differently compared to the older 4.0 OHV. I could go into more detail but I don't know if I could explain it in a way that would make sense.
