Searched but couldnt find (i know its up here somewhere). I just got a check engine light when i cranked up to leave work. Im at 63k miles right now. Truck runs fine, but i dont know much about engines. I read somewhere that you can dissconnect the battery for a few minutes to clear the light. I just re-did my exhaust last week and got a body lift. Should i dissconnect the batt.? I dont want to clear the light if there is really something wrong. Thanks.

Well whatever the hell they are called. Thats just what popped in my head when I thought about the one we have. Don't be a smartazz now.........
And as far as the cap, I dont know why you would? I never redid mine. We just let it hang out. The stock hose is fine with a bodylift.

Well what could i do to get my truck to stop throwing these evap codes?

Next time you get gas, check where they extended the hose...see if there is any gas at all. Mine (even though I've probably installed hundreds upon hundreds of hoses onto radiators, etc) had some slight dampness.
And if dampness can get out, that means that the air pressure can too...so it is kind of similar to a leaking gas cap.

I took mine back apart and lubed the insert up with tranny fluid and made sure I got a good inch or two in on each side then I reclamped.

I'd be willing to bet that's your problem.
Although, there is an evap line that runs up the front frame rail near the ABS hoses that could get stretch or kinked/broken or something if someone's not really careful...but I doubt that.
