Dont laugh. what oil and plugs to use.
I know its a simple enough question but i want the purple stranger to be treated right. its a 98 4.0 ohv with...245,000. Ive only owned it for a year now but have every record from previous owner. Heres where my concern with changing the oil and this post come in to play. Since this truck has had 245 miles on it it has had prolong run with the oil. records of every oil change since new show its been added every time. Three reasons i dont want to continue this tradition is, its hard to find, its not cheap and 3 im not sure it really did anything. (the truck runs fine and the exhaust smells normal but is real dense like what it looks like in the winter)
So what are some recommendations for what i should start as a new tradition? Is the high mileage oil worth it?
And as as title says what plugs work best in the 4.0?
I hope this isnt too much of a newb post. I been working on my own vehicles for 15 years but with a site full of owners why not get the consensus of what works best.

Heads up... I've been hearing about the electrodes dropping off of them e3 plugs after they are exposed to vibration... not a good thing.
