Searched around, didn't really see a sound clip.. So im just curious, when the time comes for when i want to do an exhaust, i was thinking on a single in dual out vortex muffler. Anyone have any clips of it on their 4.0? What's your thoughts on this muffler?

 

I had a vortex Muffler on my truck for a few years and loved it

When I got my exhaust re-done for the body lift I got a flowmaster 40 series just to try something different, it sounded almost identical to the flowmaster, but I thought the vortex was louder in a better way. Meaning it had a little more of a growl to it than the flowmaster. If I had to redo my exhaust again I'd get a vortex most likely.

Sorry I have no clips though of the vortex, just the flowmaster.

 

I had a Vortex muffler on a 2.0 Contour and it sounded decent. I have heard them on numerous vehicles from Mustangs to GMC pickups and nothing I can say bad about them or the sound. I know they supposidly flow more than other mufflers out there...but when doing just a muffler swap performance would be the least of my concerns.

If you deside to go the Vortex route, I would be interrested in hearing it on your truck.
