92 4.0 Help
I have a 92 ranger with a 4.0. I lost power and stalled out on the freeway. Since then been having crank but not start issues. Kick start and doesnt start.
Someone told me its fuel, so i pinched the sender line and it fired right up. Changed the fuel pressure regulator and it started right up and ran like a champ. Waited 30 mins started up again and took a while to start and ran rough. Turned it off and now it wont start again. Crimped the line and still wont start. Sprayed break cleaner into the tb and still wont start.
Has check engine light on.
Im trying to test for codes and was wondering what kind of code reader i will need? And were can i purchase one from? I know where the EEC plugs are(self test output and input plugs).
Dont want to keep throwing money at this, rather just buy the scan tool so i know what specifically to look for, though i believe im dealing with a fuel pressure/fuel problem.
