what else should i get?
 

Ok, so i ordered a re-ring kit for my ranger. it comes with rod and main bearings, rings, and gaskets. so i was wondering, since im going to be taking apart my engine, what else might i want to buy beforehand so i can get everything major at once?

where are you getting your parts from

all bearings, seals, and clean all the parts with some mineral spirits or acetone, clean it out good since you are takin it apart and all.....that the only way to go and make sure all you major parts are in good shape

YUP! I'd grab a fel-pro complete gasket kit. You'll need headgaskets as well, but that come with the fel-pro kit. Silocone, laquer thinner to clean the gasket surfaces. More, those are the first things thatpopped in my head.

yea lots and lots of laquer thinner, we go though a full bottle everytime we assemble an engine at work
