Need to know if a EFI 302 engine with a ZF transmission will fit in a 97 Ford ranger.

 

Yea it shoukd I have a efi from a 91 mustang in mine fits fine and if u want a lil more room id recomend getting the FEAD from the 302 in the explorer. As far as transmisson im using a aod it fits good u biggest worries I woukd think would be what headers u gonna run. Im not sure of the sizes of the zf trans is never really heard of it

 

The 302 is gone so I'm not doing that particular swap any more not when I got a 94 ranger for scrap and parts good 3 litter in it.

 

I am thinking of swapping in a 4.0 V6 or a 5.0. Which would be better. And do they make a kit to swap a V8 into a Ranger. Mine is a 2001 with a 3.0 V6 and the 5speed Auto.
