Stuck

Ok so I'm at a cross road I got the wireing instructions but it's kinda a pain I'm not a good electrition. So first option is there a tuner I can buy that will delete the pats on the Pcm. And I won't have to wire it in. Option two I go carberated and I buy a carb intake and the transmission controller and distributor also will there be anything else I need to be able to go this route

I already answered your question about the tuner on page 1. Going to cost you about $450 for the tuner and someone to make the tune. The place I got the tuner from cut me a deal on tuning since I got it from them. If you try to buy a used tuner to save money, you'll probably get charged more on the back end for the tuning work.

Can't help you much with the carb though.

Revise question

My bad man yea I seen the tuner I guess my question is do I need the explorer pats system hooked up in order for that tuner to work I lost the pats system I want to keep it stock and don't mind not having pats I'd rather go this rout than doing a carb set up

No, you don't need to hook up the Explorer's PATS system in order for the tuner to work.

The best thing you can do is get a 98 or newer explorer or mountaineer.
Almost everything you need is there. I had to move the passenger side motor mount forward a little bit. all of the brackets , pulleys wiring harness, computer was there.
I also got a 3:73 8.8 limited slip rear with mine. Bonus I wasn't even expecting.
also got rear disc brakes and a factory sway bar and factory traction bars. I wound up using the leaf springs and all in mine.( It did lower the truck several inches) and we had to re weld the spring brackets to adj pinion angle. Also be prepared to call out a pro locksmith or someone to reflash your computer. When I put the computer in mine it threw a theft code and would not send power to the injectors. If you need more info I will provide you a phone number later.

Thanks

Yea thanks! I already bought a Eddie bower explorer. I swapped everything over, I lucked out also with the rear disk brakes and everything when I got rid of the explorer. I left the pats module in it so I won't be able to hard wire one into the ranger. I'm just gonna go with the tuner and remap the Ecu. Then I need to get exhaust made up and she should be good to go.
