I want to reinstal the A/C on my 99 do I use a Ranger set-up with the 5.0 compressor ??

 

I used my original 2003 Ranger 4.0 compressor when I swapped in my 1999 5.0 Explorer engine - bolted right up to the accessory drive bracket. Because of the different location of the compressor, the swap needs to use the 5.0 Explorer hose manifold which is a perfect fit to the rest of the stock 2003 Ranger A/C stuff.


If you still intend to install the Mustang engine, you may have to have custom hoses made up.
