I would run a set of Magnaflow cats, i have found the lowest prices at

www.planetmagnaflow.com

As long as you have some sort of cats you shouldnt get a CEL, BUT if you are worried about a CEL you should be able to just shut off the rear o2's with your programmer.

I'm with Mark run magnaflow cats.

I am running 2 magnaflow cats on my truck, one for each bank, then they Y together in the dual in single out muffler.

I am getting no codes based on exhaust.

I've been looking into the magnaflow cats lately to help quite my truck down. They even have one with a built in resonator for sound dampening.

I'm running shorty headers, collected into a 3" straight pipe, that runs straight back to just behind the cab into a borla pro XS. There are almost no bends in the exhaust system and its pretty loud behind the truck. I have no complaints about how loud it is in the truck, but my neighbors don't like it at 5:30 am everyday.
