Hey Todd, I'm jus wonderin, what were you getting for mpg both with 302 and with super'd 302. And was your truck "really ****in fast" with super'd 302? I'm jus wonderin whether it'd be worth it to do the swap or add a superlift. I have the 3.0 now, so of course im slow.

theres an idea. guy i know that worked at the ford dealership told me he had a chevy 350 in the bed of his mighty max. had a camper top over it and everything look nice. no need for a driveshaft. under the hood hed welding a tray and filled it with lead bricks and then carpeted the whole thing. said he had a good trunk in his truck.

It has been a while since I drove it, but I seem to remember around 17MPG with the 302 and ~16.5 with the S/C, but I have a heavy foot, so both could have been improved upon. Also, I have 4:10 gears and my truck is a pig at 4520lbs (4x4 4-door, fiberglass top, etc).

Was it fast - yes, was it f-in fast, not really. That is why I am doing the 351W. I could have made it fast with a bypass system added to the KB to keep inlet temps down and bump timing, making custom headers for the 302, puting a decent set of heads on it, a cm, and/or spending a bit more that one stop at the dyno tune. I just deceided if I am going to spend the time/ money, I may as well jump 50 cubes while I am at it and be ready to jump another on top of that with a simple windsor stroker kit.

Biggest problem with this truck is it's weight.
